Preserving Our Heritage


Award winners, S.F.C. Gooch Period Construction Ltd. have the enviable reputation
of being one of the South East's foremost restoration specialists. The company was
conceived and set up in 1986 by director Stephen Gooch.

Stephen's love and passion for our architectural heritage encouraged him to pursue a
successful career that would help to restore and maintain some of our most important
period properties, from humble cottages to lofty Essex barns.

"No job is too small" says Stephen,"Replacing the right window when needed, is just as important as restoring the whole of the property. For the past twenty years his team of specialist craftsmen have concentrated on restoring many buildings that unless given professional and sympathetic treatment could have been lost forever.

Using traditional skills and materials Stephen works closely alongside local planners
and authorities, helping to preserve this unique part of our history.
